Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon-free Zone treaty (SEANWFZ)

• ASEAN members are not to dump radioactive waste into sea/land and are to advocate nuclear arms-free

Apart from nuclear issue, there are still biological & chemical tools for propagation of hostilities

• @ UN's level, ASEAN nations have signed Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) & Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), albeit Cambodia & Myanmar have yet ratified BWC
• ASEAN, however, have not worked these policies out
• Hence, there's a need to reinforce nuclear-weapon ban @ regional level
